New York/Hong Kong: Oct 19, 2015 – CBX Software, a leading provider of global sourcing and extended supply chain automation solutions for the retail industry, today announced that Berkshire Blanket, Inc., a leading designer producer and importer of consumer blankets and home textiles in the United States, successfully went live globally on CBX Cloud in near record time.
The company supplies over 10 million products to top retailers around the world. Berkshire Blanket also sells its products as a direct to consumer retailer through its online store. With a large number of products on offer and the constant need to bring new products to market, Berkshire Blanket needed a system to optimize its product development and quality management operations.
Prior to implementing CBX, Berkshire Blanket relied on tedious and repetitive manual processes and many spreadsheets to manage product development and order management. The company’s management realized this has hampered their strategy to improve lead times and reduce costs. Determined to make real changes, Berkshire Blanket considered a number of IT solutions to support the company’s strategy. Ultimately, Berkshire Blanket selected CBX Software and chose to start with CBX’s Product Lifecycle Management and Quality Management modules.
“We are very pleased with CBX Software. The CBX team delivered their solution tailored for our needs in just months as promised,” said Dick Horner, CFO at Berkshire Blanket. “CBX capabilities put us in a much stronger position to grow our business. The software’s PLM and sourcing capabilities help us to unify our workflow and increase automation, which in turn enable us to attain shorter lead times and lower costs,” added Mr. Horner.
”Enterprise software implementation projects are complex and can be extremely difficult. The CBX professional services organization met our expectations over the course of the project. In more than 10 years as an IT senior manager, this may be the most efficient and least disruptive implementation I have witnessed,” said Jim Gardiner, Director of IT.
“I want to extend my appreciation to the Berkshire Blanket team and its supply chain partner. The CBX Cloud implementation was a success in large part due to their high-level of commitment to change and engagement on the project,” said Michael Hung, CEO of CBX Software. “We are very pleased to see how CBX PLM is already helping Berkshire Blanket and its international partners collaborate more closely and realize immediate value.”
